5K RACE FOR HEALING for child victims begins with you!!!!!!!
Athens, PA (04/09/17) – On April 29rd, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Athens High School in Athens, PA the Children’s House/CAC will be holding its 4rd Annual Race for Healing. Per -registration is $20.00 per runner and can be done online by visiting runsignup.com or by US Mail; registration after April 10th increases to $25.00 per runner. Registration can be done the morning of the event, but there will no guarantee of an event t-shirt. Edith Jordan – the center’s director remarked, “This race is an important fundraiser for the center because all proceeds stay locally and goes to ensuring that every child victim has access to services in an environment conductive to healing – at no cost to them or their family. This is also vital to our community’s future as well– we have one chance to get it right after a child’s initial outcry of abuse. What we do or what we don’t do after that outcry will alter our children’s future and our community’s future. It is our job as a community to protect and to make sure that every child has access to services so that they have an opportunity for a happy, healthy and bright future.” If you would like more information on the 5K Race for Healing or to learn more on how you can make a difference contact the center at 1-570-265-4132, visiting their facebook page – Bradford County Children’s House or website at www.childrenshousepa.org or show up the morning of the 29rd at the Athens High School at 9:00 and register.
